AT more than double what they set out to raise, the Pink Ladies of Usk on Monday (4th November) presented the final figure from their recent brave fundraiser to Breast Cancer Care and St Davids Foundation.
Kay Peacock, Rachel Drago, Victoria Boxhall-James, Julie Lewis and Joe Peacock all died their hair pink before bravely having it shaved off for the causes on 19th October.
Their initial target of £4,000 was smashed on the night as the final figure on the day finished at £7,000.
Since then however, the money continued to come in and the final figure to be split between the two charities was more than £8,240.
Organiser Rhiannon Jones said: "The generosity of everyone who came to the event, and everyone in town, has been overwhelming."
The group have decided to make their fundraising efforts an annual event, and are already next year.
