More than 150 people gathered to watch TV presenter Kate Humble cut the ribbon to officially open the new facilities at Usk Veterinary Centre.

Following four months of reconstruction and renovation, the surgery now provides dedicated dog and cat wards, a separate isolation unit, in-house laboratory and new imaging facilities to enhance safety and quality of care.

The original surgery was purpose-built almost three decades ago, but improvements in technology and a significant increase in staff numbers dictated the changes.
