Penallt 'B' team played Usk's third team in a marathon match that went on for well over three and a half hours.
The Penallt pairing of Peter Hambly-Smooth and young gun Tom Hodgkin started well against the Usk pair of John 'Sambuca' Barton and Phil 'Kojak' Terrett, Penallt taking the first set 6 – 3.
In the second set Penallt's usual lapse into complacency resulted in the need for a third set tie break that they lost 10 – 8.
