The woman who died following a collision on the A466 between Redbrook and Llandogo on Saturday (5th January) has been named as Hannah Rosher.

The 18-year-old from Bristol was driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa that the road near Bigsweir Bridge and collided with a tree at about 8.15am.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and the next of kin and coroner were informed.

Hannah's parents Steve and Sally Rosher issued the following statement on behalf of her family.

"Hannah exuded all that is good in life. She was a bright and shining star who was a magnet to all around her.

"Anyone who was privileged enough to have her touch their life in some way will know how badly missed she will be.

"She was a bubbly, feisty, vivacious and beautiful girl who only ever saw the good in people. Anyone who knew her loved her.

"There are no words to describe the pain felt not only by her mum and dad and two brothers, whose lives will never be the same, but also by her extended family and many many special friends.

"We are all proud and blessed to have had her in our lives albeit only for a short time."

Officers attended and closed the road until 4pm while a collision investigation took place.

Firefighters from Monmouth, Malpas and Gloucester also attended the scene.
