Monmouth Town Under 16s notched up another three points away at Mardy last Sunday (30th January) but on a freezing afternoonthe management team and parents who braved the weather probably wished their sons had chosen a different sport as they witnessed this dire affair.

Most of Mardy's players are more at home on a rugby field, as Pritchard and most of his teammates found out on several occassions.

The best move and possibly the only bit of football in the first half involved George Badman with a sublime back-heal to Pritchard, which ended with nothing.

Finally the deadlock was broken when McMeel smashed in a loose ball from close range.

George Badman made the points safe and Luke East wrapped up the game cutting in from left.

There were a few plusses; Pritchard looked very impressive as did George and James Badman.

East also put in a good shift, shrugging off an ankle injury.
