REMEMBER The Beacon story of a couple of weeks ago about a reader seeing UFOs over the dual carriageway at Monmouth?

We said the likelihood of anyone seeing a UFO must be millions to one. Yet a Beacon reader claimed that he had, on three separate occasions, spotted UFOs over Monmouth.

Not surprisingly, the man, who asked not to be named, told us "I had not seen anything like this before, now I have seen UFOs on three occasions".

The reader brought with him a rough sketch of two of the mysterious space craft over the dual carriageway.

"I know people will be sceptical, but I definitely saw these flying objects" added the man.

We said we would like to hear from any other Beacon readers who might also have had an out of this world experience.

Well, it seems other readers have also had their own experiences of UFOs.

We had a call on Monday from a reader, who described his own unique experience.

"I was driving along the dual carriageway close to Whitchurch, towards Monmouth, when I saw an orange light in the sky" said the man. "It was almost 11.30pm and I had a friend in the car with me.

"The light was directly above us and other motorists were slowing down to see what it was" he said.

"It was definitely not a plane or an helicopter. We are both sensible people and we know what we saw.

"I have never seen anything like that in the past, but it was very strange indeed".

The reader said the mysterious object was still hovering above the dual carriageway as he drove away.

"I wonder what the other drivers thought it was" he said. "It was hovering about fifty feet above the ground".
