OVERMONNOW garage has scooped three "firsts" in the prestigious Forecourt Trader of the Year awards, held at Hilton Park Lane, London, last week. Not only was Overmonnow judged to have the best forecourt faciltities, the site also picked up awards for the best use of retail technology and best site with a licence to sell alcohol. Delighted by their success, Susie Hwkins, a parner in the Simon Smith group who own Overmonnow, said: "It's a big thank you to the whole team for all their hard work and to our customers for supporting us. "It's a prestigious award and we're thrilled to have been recognised throughout the country." BP Dealers won a total of 14 awards at the Forecourt Trader of the Year event. UK Fuels Marketing Manager Janet Ashdown said: 'It was a fantastic night for our dealers, and shows that they are ahead of the competitors in the quality of services they provide to our customers across all types of locations in all areas of the country" BP also received a highly commended award in the best oil company initiative category for its M&S Simply Food inserts. BP's haul of 15 awards was half of the prizes on offer, while it's the seventh time a BP dealer has won the top award in the 11 years the awards have been running and the third time in four years that a BP dealer has won the coveted top prize.
