Tributes have been paid to a 20-year-old Monmouth man who died at the weekend after his motorbike was in collision with a car.
Luke Grace's bike was involved in a collision with a dark-coloured Ford Fiesta at about 6.05pm last Saturday (19th May) on the McDonalds roundabout at the junction of the A472 and A4042 near Pontypool, just a week before he was due to start a new job.
Police say both were travelling from the direction of Pontypool towards Cwmbran and are appealing for witnesses to the crash.
Mr Grace, who lived in Oakdale, near Blackwood, but grew up in Mitchel Troy, was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital but later died of his injuries.
Gwent Police released the following statement on behalf of Mr Grace's family: "All of Luke's family and friends are totally devastated at losing Luke, he was a big hearted, loving son with fire in his belly.
"He was devoted to his girlfriend Briony and loved life, he was about to start a new job next week with his father Mark. We miss him dearly."
Friends of Mr Grace (pictured above) have gathered at the entrance to Garthi Close in Mitchel Troy (right) and beer bottles, balloons and flowers have been left as tributes.
Some of the tributes left in Garthi Close include:
