SIR,
I am not alone in being very disappointed that the trial of the pinch point has been abandoned.
Good money and time has been spent on setting it up.
It would have been a trial and cannot be judged until it has been undertaken.
If it should prove to be a disaster – which is unlikely – it can be stopped at any time.
But I would urge Monmouthshire County Council to reinstate the experiment as previously arranged.
