A Woolaston Primary School pupil has been named as the winner of Chepstow Rotary Club's treasure hunt. Competitors had to find the answers to 50 questions, taking them all around town as part of the Chepstow Festival. Entry forms were available free from many shops in town, and many were requested, although only two were returned with answers. Marian Lewis, the newly appointed president of Chepstow and District Rotary Club, presented the prizes. The first prize of £20 went to Zara Davies, aged eight, from Bulwark. She persuaded her mum to accompany her into the town centre on four separate occasions, refusing to give up on the challenge. Mum Tanya said: "We both learned a lot about Chepstow, especially some of its history." Zara added: "I'm really surprised to be the winner. It was great fun and this prize money will be very useful for treats in the holidays." The second prize of £15 was won by Rosemary Chicken and Keiran McMullan of BDHC Chartered Accountants in Moor Street. They spent several lunch breaks scouring the town for answers. Keiran said: "We enjoyed the challenge. Cakes in the office next week."
