Monmouth Town continued their unbeaten run in 2011 but were left frustrated after being held to a two-two draw against Cwmbran Town at the Sports Ground on Saturday 12th February.
The result leaves the Kingfishers in the promotion places, but the frustration was added when news of promotion rivals losing filtered through after the game.
The visitors arrived in good form, winning their last three outings including two victories against teams at the top of the table, which has resulted in the former European qualifiers leaping up the Welsh League Third division.
It was the Kingfishers, however, who started the brightest, again looking to use their pace out wide as early as possible and put the Crows on the back foot.
Despite the early dominance, it was only a scuffed Ashley Ford shot that the visiting goalkeeper had to deal with.
On 22 minutes, it was the visitors who scored first. Despite three home defenders around, a Kennedy header back to his goalkeeper was slightly wide and as Williams came out to claim, he came off second best to the visiting centre forward who had the simple task of side footing home.
