After a great run to the quarter finals of the cup, Monmouth Reserves went out with a whimper.
It was said it was a difficult day, made worse by the fact that Cwmbran's first team game was called off, allowing them to bring some players in and even the first team manager.
Monmouth's squad had been thinned out by injuries, players walking out and suspensions. That said, they started well, and for the first 45 mins had easily the best chances and played some good football.
