Sir,

Monmouth has always prided itself on being a market town. Our Cattle market is long gone, and our famous Agincourt Square market is temporarily relocated to the sometimes exposed, cattle market car park.

The Council area working team and the Friday and Saturday traders at the market have been working together on an action plan to make sure that the market continues to develop to meet the needs of residents and visitors to the town, complementing the varied shopping experience which is Monmouth.

We have our own ideas, but we need to know what Monmouth's shoppers want. Can we appeal to anybody who reads this to spread the word? Any of the traders at the market on a Friday or Saturday would be very pleased to hear your suggestions about what would make you a regular visitor to the market.

If you could write down your ideas, that would be even better, and if yours was a suggestion that we wanted to take up, then we would be able to contact you.

You can also take suggestions to the one stop shop, where you will find a market suggestion box. Positive suggestions rather than negative comments would be appreciated. Please help us by working with us to keep this market worthy of our town.
