A Monmouthshire tourist attraction has secured a Green Flag for the fourth year running.

The coveted tourism standard is awarded to destinations that The Green Flag Award® Scheme recognises the best green spaces in the country.

Tintern Station in the Wye Valley offers a range of attractions, including walks, railway memorabilia, sculptures of characters from Welsh history and a tea shop recognised by Country Living magazine as one of the top 20 in the UK.

The flag will be awarded at a ceremony at the Royal Welsh agricultural show at Builth Wells on 23rd July.

John Sterry, Site Manager said: "I'm really proud that Tintern Station has received another Green Flag. The station is one of Monmouthshire's gems – set in gorgeous countryside and with some of the best cakes in the UK.

"I would like to congratulate the team and thank them for their hard work in keeping up the station's high standards."
