A NATIONAL campaign to raise awareness of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) started this weekend with a fun run at Tintern Old railway station.
The 13 day event was organised by the family of Caerwent teenager Natasha Scott Falber who passed away from contracting TSS after using a tampon for the first time.
More than 100 signed up for the race.
Natasha's mum Mandy Scott, who competed in the race, said: "Altogether it was an amazing start to our campaign. The atmosphere was wonderful and Tintern Old Station was a beautiful venue.
"Jane Rhymer who organised the whole event did an amazing job and everyone was so generous with providing all that we needed. My thanks to all of them for their generosity.
There is a packed programme of events to raise awareness of TSS running up to Thursday 26th February.
