The 2009 season had seen unparalleled success for a Tintern team that won eight and drew two of their 12 fixtures.
After an excellent lunch, the awards for the season were presented to Carl Jennings (bowling), Owain Ellis (batting) and Stuart Williams (young player of the year). There were many noteworthy team contributions, not least the taking of no fewer than 50 outfield catches during the season and that there had been nine batting partnerships of greater than 50 runs.
The season also saw, after six years, the regaining of the touring cup contested annually between Tintern and Tedburn St Mary.
