There is a lady who serves me coffee,

At the local coffee house,

Who always smiles,

And always has time for her customers.

A man in a pasty shop,

Who always has games and treats,

For the children.

A lady librarian who has the smile,

To make any down mood flee,

And always does all she can to help.

These are the kindnesses of where I live,

The treasures that make,

A town bring peace,

To any traveller or resident.

The hills overlook us,

The rivers run through,

The church spreads blossom,

Over its walkways.

Young people walk,

Deep in conversation,

On their way to school.

Peace, plenty and purpose,

Walk together here.

Let the orchestras begin.
