THE ROYAL George in Tintern has opened its doors again, after being an established hotel in 1598 and serving as a hotel since 1829.
The hotel has been restored, and every room has been thought about thoroughly, still remembering the history but looking taking a step into the future.
The pub is located in Tintern, a historic town in Wales, where Tintern Abbey is located.
Tintern Abbey still remains as one of Wales most iconic, historical landmarks, Tintern Abbey was founded in 1131 by Cistercian monks, but it was abandoned after Henry VIII dissolved the monasteries in the 1530s explaining why now it’s a ruin.
Chepstow town isn’t far and there are cafes, shops and plenty to do
