SIR,

In response to Mr Davies' letter, of Ross on Wye, in the Beacon.

We would like to assure him that The Monmouth China Company is still in existence, if not in the excellent position at The Monnow Bridge Gallery that he recalls, but in an equally fine position at the Tourist Information Office in the Shire Hall complex.

All of the chinaware items that we sell are made from British fine bone china, depicting many important landmarks in and around Monmouth, such as the Kymin Round House, Monnow Bridge, Shire Hall and also people of historical importance like Charles Rolls and King Henry V.

There are also limited edition collectors plates of the Charles Rolls Centenary 1910-2010 depicting CH Rolls in various poses.

This was a commissioned piece, designed and illustrated by an award-winning local artist, and reproduced by the kind permission of the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club.

If Mr Davies or indeed anyone interested would like to contact us on 01600 719623 or email through the website monchina.co.uk we will be delighted to take your call.
