DURING the February meeting of the Monmouth/Carbonne Twinning Association Chairman Peter Walker said he had now received confirmation that a group from Carbonne would be arriving on Friday, July 6th, and returning to Carbonne on Tuesday, July 10th.
So far 25 Carbonnais have confirmed their intention to travel while a further three have yet to confirm, but seem likely to do so.
Having resolved the numbers issue the work now starts in preparing a programme of suitable entertainment for the visitors.
This is always a challenge for Monmouth since Carbonne entertains visitors from Monmouth with such variety and panache. Thinking caps are on and all bright ideals should be funneled to Secretary Jan Pritchard on Monmouth 712266.
