BRECON Motor Club will host and organise the third Brecon Classic Motor Show on Sunday 7th August 2016 at the Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre at Libanus, Powys.

With the Brecon & Radnor Express again sponsoring the event, the organisers are introducing several new features for 2016 to enhance the visitor experience. A classic car and automobilia auction will be held by McCartney LLP at 4pm on the day of the show.

During the day, an autojumble will be held where parts, accessories, books and other motoring memorabilia may be purchased.

The showground location provides stunning views toward Pen-y-Fan, the highest mountain in the United Kingdom south of Snowdon.

Family friendly facilities at the Visitor Centre include a restaurant and a children’s play area.

Each year the show grows in stature. The inaugural event in 2014 was a day to remember for classic car enthusiast and families alike with over 100 vehicles on display including sports cars, American classics, rally cars and vintage tractors. Last year, in only its second year, over 220 classic vehicle were displayed.

The friendly atmosphere of the show encourages visitors to mingle with the owners of the vehicles and to improve their knowledge about motoring history.

Judging for the ‘Best Car in Show’ and ‘Best Bike in Show’ awards takes place throughout the day. For the first time this year, a ‘Visitors Choice’ prize will be awarded before the close of the event.

Brecon Classic Motor will raise money for ‘Wales Air Ambulance’ in 2016. This emergency service charity has saved many lives in the Principality since its inauguration on St. David’s Day in 2001.

Subject to not being required for an emergency, one of the charity’s three helicopter will be on display at the show with members of the crew available to answer questions.

Entries are invited from the owners of veteran, vintage, classic, sports and prestige cars and motorcycles. Historic commercial vehicle, tractors and farm implements are also welcome.

Entry forms for participants are available to download from the Brecon Motor Club website at www.breconmotorclub.co.uk
