The countdown is on – the ACE Climate Festival is nearly here! Join them on Sunday 14 September, 11am–4pm at Shire Hall, Monmouth for a day packed with creativity, community spirit and climate solutions you can try at home.
This year’s theme is Make Do and Mend – taking inspiration from the 1940s spirit of ingenuity and resourcefulness, and reimagining it for today’s climate and nature challenges. It promises to be a lively, hands-on day for all ages, full of activities, stalls, food and inspiration.
Here are just a few highlights:
T-shirt printing – Bring an old tee (or other garment) and give it a brand-new life with custom made woodblock prints
Bike repair station – Take your bike in and get your wheels checked over and rolling smoothly again
Youth Charter launch – 11:30am at the Savoy Theatre: watch a powerful film and hear Monmouth’s young people share their vision for the town's future
Plus: local stalls, cooking demos, live music and plenty of chances to learn, chat and try something new!
