SIR,

I would like to convey my deepest gratitude to those who attended the Mayor's Spectacular in aid of Mayor's charities on Thursday 2nd May.

Also to all the wonderful performers who came and entertained us so well, to the sound and lighting engineers, the compere and all the back stage arrangers.

To the committee who gave up their time to arrange the showcase.

Also to HMSG for allowing us, as they do year upon year, the free use for all the facilities.

Much of the profits were made from the raffle. I thank the ladies and gentlemen at front of house for this, and those generous businesses who donated the prizes, namely; Envee Shoes, the EE Shop, Duncan the butcher at Le Gourmet, Phill's veg shop, the King's Head, Hancock's the butcher, David's tea shop (Mon Teas).

Some prizes were not claimed. The tickets have been retained for inspection in the town clerk's office, the numbers being 680, 725, 745, 770, 840 and 280.
