Sir,

I would like to offer my very late thank you to the Narth Singers and their kind donation to Mercy Ships.

As you reported in July this year the Narth Singers performed an excellent concert at the Narth Village Hall and in Pelham Hall in Penallt entitled 'Baroque and Roll'.

The generous response from the audiences at these concerts resulted in a staggering £935 being donated towards the work of Mercy Ships.

This organisation provides a free hospital in the form of the Africa Mercy – the largest NGO hospital ship in the world - to third world countries and is at present working in Benin where they perform life saving and life changing surgeries including cleft lip and palate, cataract removal, tumour treatments, reconstructive surgery, gynaecological surgery, orthopedic surgery, dental care, etc as well as combining with local bodies to help in relief and development and education.
