I should like to thank everyone who has sent messages of help and support after the devastating flooding of St Dubricius Church in Whitchurch. It was the worst flood in the church since 1947, with the water level reaching five feet.

Everything inside the church had been tossed around and most things were destroyed because of breakages and the contaminated water.

The community responded quickly with offers to help with the clean-up. Messages of support were received from church friends locally, as well as tourists from all around the country.

At present, professional cleaners have been in and we now have to wait for the ancient building to dry out. All offers of aid will be gratefully accepted once we can start the process of refurbishment.

Details of services for the near future may be found on the church website.
