SIR,

I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to the people who stopped on the Monmouth-Coleford road on Sunday lunchtime and pulled /pushed me, my sister and son off the bank, where we had landed after skidding across the road after hitting a very slippy patch.

It was much appreciated – especially to the lady who gave me a much appreciated hug before we left.

We made it back safely to Cambridgeshire later that day.
