"I was a stranger and you welcomed me." (Theme for 2013)

Thank you very much for your support at this year's Women's World Day of Prayer (WWDP) celebrations at St Mary's R C Church on 1st March.

The service, prepared by the women of France, was very well received and many positive comments have come my way.

The readers and musicians really made the whole celebration come alive and re-affirm the commitment of women to understanding and appreciation of others and to the furtherance of peace in the world.

A total of 67 women and men attended and the community singing filled the church.

The congregation were very generous in their donations to the WWDP and a total of £251.93 has been banked.

Next year's celebration will be organised in Monmouth by the women of St Mary's Priory Church, Monmouth. The theme for 2014 is "Streams in the Desert" and the celebration will be written by the women of Egypt.
