Sir, My wife Liz, my mother Betty and I are moving to Lincolnshire as my curacy in the Monmouth Group of Parishes finishes at the end of June. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone, not just in the churches, but also in the town and villages around, for their warmth and kindness to us in our last three happy years here. Monmouth is a wonderful place to live. The politeness and helpfulness of shopkeepers, and of drivers and bystanders – for example when my mother fell in the street and broke her arm – are quite exceptional. We have been very impressed with the schools, Monnow Vale Hospital, council services, especially recycling, the leadership of three Mayors of Monmouth and, of course, the Monmouthshire Beacon. You are all welcome to attend our farewell service at St Michael and All Angels, Mitchel Troy on Sunday 29th June at 6pm. Thank you to everyone and every blessing for the future. Revd Nick Munday (Curate) St Thomas' Vicarage
