TOP Eagles tribute band Talon are winging in to Monmouth’s Blake Theatre this Saturday to play the whole Hotel California album from start to finish, as well as all the hits.

The band have risen from humble beginnings in 1997 to become one of the most successful theatre touring music shows in the UK.

They played their first ever gig at a music pub in Castle Bromwich in January 1998 ‘to three men and a dog for £3 on the door’.

And exactly a quarter of a century to the day last January, the seven-piece outfit returned to Birmingham for their ‘25th Anniversary Show’ at the world-famous Birmingham Symphony Hall and walked on stage to a standing ovation from the 2,000-plus sell-out crowd at the climax of a 70-date tour.

But for those thinking of going, Saturday’s show is a sell-out and only those who already have a ticket will be able to thrill live to the Hotel California title track, New Kid in Town, Life in the Fast Lane from the legendary 1976 album, and hits like Take it Easy, Take it to the Limit, Lyin’ Eyes and Peaceful Easy Feeling.
