MONMOUTHSHIRE based classical singer Virginia Blakey and Cardiff based performance artist Jon Luxton are attending the Sambhav festival for inclusivity in the performing arts in New Delhi, India from 10th-16th November.

Chris Ryde, director of the Savoy Theatre is sponsoring the group.

Wales will be represented for the first time in 2015 at this performing arts festival that is entirely devoted to the celebration of diversity in the arts.

Virginia and John will be taking the Welsh flag and performing at the opening ceremony.  

The Alpana society, ‘Association for Learning Performing Arts and Normative Action’ promotes inclusivity in the performing arts facilitates holistic human development and has been run by Guru Alpana Nayak  for over ten years.

Virginia and Jon are appealing for any unwanted musical instruments to take out with them for the children of Alpana’s music school, who cannot afford their own.
