SIR,
I live in Raglan and I am a member of the WI, as well as being a grandmother.
I support my milkman, I have glass bottles outside my door, they are washed out and put out every other day.
The milk is outside my door at 5am in the morning. In Raglan, a lorry delivers the milk all the way from Bristol in plastic containers.
On rubbish collection days there are bags of empty plastic containers put out. Where do they all go?
I am a country person and I worry about the environment and the future of our grandchildren.
When I lived at home, on a farm, the cows were milked morning and evening. If the electric went off my mother went out and milked by hand.
I have compost bins in my garden, as I am an organic gardener.
