REDBROOK welcomed over 800 people across the weekend for this year’s Live on the Wye Festival.

The event also celebrated 10 years of providing music on the Millennium Green on the banks of the Wye, and visitors were delighted by the free glass of prosecco - the charity’s way of thanking everyone for supporting the event.

Musical highlights on the main stage included Splat the Rat, Albino Frogs, the Hotsteppas and the Fontanas with Whose Hands Are These the highlight of the Friday Fringe event

The expanded kids area went down well thanks to a great new toddler zone with sensory equipment kindly supplied by Redbrook Baby and Toddler Group.

The event raises funds for the Redbrook Village Trust. Funds from previous years have paid for upgrades to the playground, supported a kitchen in the village hall and paid for installation of a defibrillator.

Chairperson Sarah Sheasby said: "Huge thanks to all our sponsors, visitors, volunteers and musicians for making our 10th anniversary event one to remember. Every penny of the funds raised will be re-invested in supporting local life".

The event is sponsored by the Beacon, the Kingstone Brewery as well as a number of other local businesses.
