SIR,

A splendidly lively quiz night at the Green Dragon in St Thomas' Square raised the grand sum of £476 for the SWHP Horse Hospital last weekend.

At a time when donations to charity are falling and at the same time an increasing number of horses and ponies are suffering from neglect, this support is enormously appreciated.

Our very sincere thanks to Margaret and her team and to all those who took part and gave so generously.
