Through your letters page, may I congratulate Monmouthshire County Council and its team of staff for organising and running a hugely successful summer play scheme programme at

Overmonnow school.

Our grandson is a fortunate pupil at the school and along with his peers was given the opportunity to attend a play programme during mornings at the school. This was obviously a huge help, both to our daughter who works full time and equally to my husband and myself who as any grandparent will agree are grateful for any assistance during the holiday period. The morning started with breakfast it was then structured with play, both creative and fun, lunch was also provided.

We are extremely impressed that such a wonderful service can be possible and provided in such uncertain times.
