MICHAEL Barton and Joni Sykes, Year 11 pupils at Monmouth School, have been selected to play Horseball for Great Britain. Joni lives in Devauden, while Michael lives at Magor. Horseball is rugby on horseback, involving teams of four players. The action is very fast, so both riders and horses have to be fit. This will be Michael's third year in the team and this year he will be captain. Joni will be making his debut in a GB vest. The international competition is to be held in Northern France in July and six other countries will be competing.
