Elsewhere in The Beacon is an article about the Royal British Legion and Armistice Day 2009. I hope that many people will read it.

However, the purpose of this letter is to let readers know that I, as President of this Branch, will be handing over to Commodore Toby Elliott, OBE., DL, Royal Navy on Armistice Sunday, November 8th.

Following a long and distinguished career in the Royal Navy, Toby Elliott has been the National Chief Executive of the Charity, "Combat Strss".

Toby Elliott and his wife live near Monmouth.
