The road between Station Street and Brookend Street will be closed between Monday, September 15th and Friday, September 19th.

A diversion route along the A40 will be clearly signposted in advance to allow customers to make alternative travel arrangements. Access will be maintained for deliveries, residents and emergency service vehicles. Morrisons will be operating as normal and access to the store will be maintained using normal approach roads with the exception of Millpond Street.

This is because of the £2.25 million Welsh Water scheme to ensure customers in Ross town centre continue to receive a top quality, reliable supply of drinking water direct to their taps.

Welsh Water capital manager Peter Childs said: "This is essential work to further improve the water supply network in the area. We assure local people that we will work as quickly as we can to get the road open as soon as possible. We would like to thank people in advance for their patience."

The scheme will be delivered by Laing O'Rourke, working with United Utilities, ChandlerKBS and other partners carrying out the water mains refurbishment programme on behalf of Welsh Water.
