GWENT Police's season of summer parties continued in Monmouth last Tuesday (22nd July). The barn dance-themed event was held behind the station and featured children's games, line dancing, a raffle, and the chance to soak a policeman in the stocks. A raffle was held with the proceeds going to Monmouth's Off Street Project. Monmouth Neighbourhood Team used the day to spread the word about Gwent Police's Online Watch Link (OWL), which sends out updates about crime prevention and police news to users' email addresses. There are currently 40,000 households connected in Gwent.
