A CHEPSTOW man was rushed to hospital yesterday morning (Tuesday 25th November) after receiving multiple stab wounds.

The victim suffered injuries to his shoulder and neck in a house on Woolpitch Wood, Chepstow, and was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital after the emergency services were called at around 10.45am.

A number of emergency personnel were involved in the call out with two ambulances and four police cars attending the scene.

The incident also involved a woman who sustained injuries during the attack, though of a less serious nature.

It is thought that there was a third person in the house and that all three were all known to each other.

A Gwent Police statement said: "At 10.44am, Tuesday 25th November, we were called to the report of a disturbance at a property on Woolpitch Wood, Chepstow

"A man was found with stab wounds to his shoulder and neck and is currently receiving treatment in the Royal Gwent Hospital where he is in a stable condition.

"A woman also sustained minor injuries.

"Inquiries are ongoing to locate the third person."
