A Monmouth hairdressers has sponsored a quilt made for an injured soldier.

Jean Morris, of Osbaston, is the head of the UK branch of Quilts of Valour, an American foundation set up to honour soldiers injured in Afghanistan and Iraq.

In just 18 months, Jean and her 130-strong team of quilters from around the UK have made 373 quilts, which are passed to soldiers through their own regiments.
