Over a 46 year period, owners, staff and regulars at Raglan's Beaufort Hotel have come and gone - with one exception!
Margaret Metcalfe joined the Beaufort team when she was just 14 - and there she has stayed! Rarely off sick, invariably cheerful, and much loved for her big hugs and beaming smile.
So her retirement - and 60th birthday - last Wednesday marked the end of an era, meriting a special party at which she took centre stage.
Members of her family, staff and friends joined Margaret for a celebratory afternoon tea party in the hotel's ballroom.
