SIR,
May I through your letter column appeal to all who enjoy eating British food.
Several weeks ago the nation suffered very unseasonal weather which took its toll on thousands of farmers and millions of livestock, this follows several years of difficult weather conditions for farming.
As a nation we are quick to support over sea's devastation and also raise millions for children in need, if the British farmers are not helped through these difficult times, we will not have any food available to feed these children in need.
As the sun now shines it is all too easy to forget that farmers are still finding dead livestock under snow.
