Monmouth sprinter Ryan Lee has enjoyed a solid start to the 2011 outdoor season with a number of first place finishes and a couple of personal best times.
The Monmouth Comprehensive School pupil took part in the Newport Harriers club championships last week, finishing first in both the 100 and 200 metres.
He set good times for both, but the times are unofficial as it was a closed meeting.
Last Sunday (17th April) Ryan competed in the Yate sprint and hurdles challenge.
This was the first time he had competed out of Wales and the competition was strong.
Ryan won the 60 metres in a time of 7.61 seconds and finished second in the 100 metres, setting a new personal best of 11.55 seconds and losing by only 1/100th of a second.
He also set a new personal best of 24.09 seconds in the 200 metres, finishing second.
