GCSE results at Caldicot Comprehensive School were up on last year, with 79 per cent of pupils achieving five or more A* to C grades.
Sixty-five per cent have five A* to C grades including maths and English, and 62 per cent achieved grade C or above in English, maths and science.
"At the level one threshold, 95 per cent of pupils achieved have five A* to G grades and every pupil is leaving with at least one qualification, including those in the learning centre," said deputy headteacher Gareth Whitcombe.
"We've had some fantastic results here, including 660 A or A* grades across the year group. Some are leaving with 10 or 11 A* grades.
"It shows the preparation taken and the quality of work done by parents supporting pupils in the run-up to the exams.
"It is a three-way commitment between parents, pupils and the school. The results are also a testament to the teachers who have gone over and above curriculum time."
Chair of governors Peter Murcombe said: "These are fantastic results, it is our best year ever.
"When you have been improving year after year, it is difficult to make as big an improvement as we have done.
"The pupils have worked very hard and are getting their just desserts and I congratulate them all.
"The results are a great accolade for the staff and leadership of the school."
