SIR,
It is a sad reflection on today's political scene that there are far too many professional politicians with no experience of real life jobs.
The Labour party is a classic example; too many idealists in the party which unfortunately does not allow for human nature.
Russia is a marvellous example, run by fat cats looking after their own fortunes at the cost of the populace which finally collapsed under its own mismanagement.
Labour today in the UK is evidence of the same, but to listen to them they were not responsible for the utter mess they left the country in – it was international circumstances.
They had 13 years to put the country right; instead we end up with the biggest mess in history.
In Wales we have paid from the public purse.
County councillors, AMs, MPs and MEPs – we cannot afford them all and I venture to suggest we do not need them.
Why do we need the EU or the Welsh Government?
Why do county council chiefs need to be paid more than the prime minister? They have department heads for every department, so they only need to act as a mediator. Why should they be so expensive?
I suspect it will get worse before it gets better.
