INTERNATIONAL superstar Tom Jones will return to his Welsh roots this summer with a one-off concert at Chepstow Racecourse.

The show-stopping performer is destined to take Chepstow by storm on 11th July at the racing venue.

Sir Tom, who hails from Pontypridd and can currently be seen each Saturday night in his role as a coach on BBC One show The Voice, will take to the stage after seven live races.

His plethora of hits including 'It's Not Unusual', 'What's New Pussycat' and 'Delilah' are sure to bring a fantastic atmosphere to the course and thrill fans of all ages.

"It will be an honour to come back to South Wales for a show and what a show it will be," said Sir Tom.

Chepstow Racecourse's executive director Phil Bell said: "It's a great coup for Chepstow to have secured a performance by one of the world's best known singers. He has been a star for decades and we are thrilled he will be coming back to the area where his incredible success story began."

In summer 2013, Chepstow Racecourse had a sell-out start to its series of music concert nights, with 10,000 people flocking in for its Madness gig.

Tickets for Sir Tom Jones are priced at £45 and can be booked online until 16th February. From 17th February, tickets can also be purchased by calling Chepstow Racecourse on 01291 622260.
