SIR,

Well, have your eyes been opened? It proves that it is all for profit, the scandel that has emerged about the horse meat. It is down to these supermarkets profits that it has opened its ugly eye, it must be the responsibilty for them to check the end product of their own and third parties eg.,(Findus etc).

The freshness of fruit and veg has much to be desired, the so called fresh veg comes out of temperatured storage and as soon as you get it home it decays, the wastage on potatoes and veg from Lidl is very high, I have complained but all you get is a fob off. I also purchased some welshcakes from Waitrose Monmouth opened them when I got home to find them welded together and crumbling. I got in touch with their head office to be told they would investigate, in the meantime I returned the packet to the shop customer care, all I got was a refund. I also had a letter with 2x£1 voucher for good will they said, I sent them a e-mail saying I spent between £30-£50 a week at the store, they said £2 was all my custom was worth, I will not be shopping there again.

So come on let them know when things are wrong.

Let us hope now that our farmers and butchers can see us right for our meat, please do not rip us off.
