On Sunday 19th June, for the second year in succession, Monmouth and District Rifle Club hosted a rifle shoot for the Stalking Directory in aid of the Help for Heroes charity.
The Stalking Directory (thestalkingdirectory.co.uk) is a website for those interested in sporting rifle shooting and the management of deer, and draws its membership from all over the UK with some overseas members as well.
Nearly 30 shooters took part in the shoot, with many travelling several hours to get to Monmouth.
Billed primarily as a fun event designed to bring people with a common interest closer together, the standard of shooting was generally high, with a couple of maximum possible scores achieved.
