SIR,
For years the Shire Hall has been a major building within the town, but local people haven't had the chance to explore it.
Now after a lottery grant and years of hard work, it seems that money has been wasted.
Don't get me wrong, it looks fresh, but why can't the people of Monmouth enjoy it for free instead of having to pay an entry charge?
It seems everything is at a cost these days.
I feel attractions like the Shire Hall should be free to those living in and around Monmouthshire so we can enjoy the history of the town, instead of taxpayers money once again going to huge waste.
It really is a joke.
