If hundreds of new homes are built in Monmouth it would lead to an over-load on existing services, such as health, education and roads, it has been claimed.
The Welsh Electors Community Group, through its spokesperson Gary Witcombe, pointed out that Welsh Assembly policy had been ignored when the new community hospital, and hundreds of new homes, had been built.
"Over 750 homes were built and promises were made that schools would be extended, shops built and new roads provided" he said.
"Did Monmouthshire County Council keep those promises? No".
